The story
Burned alive in a fire, a young woman lingers as a ghost above her family. She watches her mother present her sister Evelyn with an expensive dress for her birthday, hears her sister call her death bad luck, and listens as her parents dismiss her as lost income. Only now does she remember that Evelyn locked the door and left her to die.
Her parents speak of arranging a ghost marriage to profit from her corpse, while Evelyn receives a message demanding money from an unknown number. Unseen, she trails cold fingers across her sister's cheek and resolves to learn how to make her suffer.
In a home where she was never the daughter who mattered, the dead girl has time to uncover the secrets her family keeps.
