The story
Emily is eight months pregnant when her son Paul suffers a high fever. Her husband Mose drives off to help his ex-girlfriend Carol Todd, whose daughter has fallen, leaving Emily alone. Paul seizes; no car, no help. Emily carries him to the road and reaches the hospital, but Paul is gone, and the baby she carries is lost too. Mose never answers her calls.
At the graves, Mose weeps and begs forgiveness, and Emily kicks him down the hill. Carol's daughter has also died, and Carol swears revenge, while Mose blames Emily and demands she atone. Holding a knife, Emily prepares for another funeral.
A mother who lost both children to her husband's betrayal will not forgive.
