Fiancé of the Underworld, Target of My Revenge

To protect his biological child, the mafia Don announces that Giulia's fiancé, Marco Benedetti, is his long-lost son. A Rolls-Royce arrives, and Marco, trembling with excitement, shoves Giulia aside, declaring their engagement over and calling her poverty-stricken filth. He slams a million-dollar check against her face as a breakup fee. Watching it fall into the mud, Giulia quietly dims her phone, where a text from her father, the Don, tells her to bear it a little longer before he brings her home to take over the family.

Marco boasts of noble blood and the Benedetti family's place among the Four Great Mafia Families, while Isabella Romano, Giulia's sworn enemy, rushes into his arms. He orders Giulia's home destroyed and makes her sign a Severance Agreement. Yet Giulia knows the truth: she worked and took assassination contracts to pay his gambling debts, took a bullet for him three years ago, and Marco has severe oligospermia, making Isabella's pregnancy suspect. She heads to Sacred Heart Hospital, where Luca Santoro, who took a fatal bullet for her, lies waiting.
