Fighting Back Against Husband's Murder Plot

On her fortieth birthday, a frugal husband surprises his pregnant wife with a ten-million-dollar life insurance policy. The gift unsettles her, and an argument follows. When she posts about it online, a chilling reply appears: a screenshot of a man betting on his wife dying in a risky birth, updated only a minute earlier. The words match her husband Alex too closely, and the empty bed beside her suddenly feels colder.

Ariana is eight years older than Alex, financially stable, and has carried the weight of their marriage. Yet his mother Sarah belittles her, and when Sarah forces a foul soup on her to guarantee a son, a scuffle leaves Ariana burned and blamed. Digging through Alex's briefcase, she finds two insurance contracts naming them both, each worth ten million dollars.

Fleeing to her friend Vanessa brings no comfort, only accusations. Then Alex and Sarah arrive at the door. Ariana no longer wants to endure this life, but walking away may cost her everything.
