The story
At a celebration dinner, Mia, the assistant of Laura's husband Leo, boasts that she stole the ten-million-dollar semiconductor deal Laura landed, demanding Laura call her "Mommy." When Laura protests, Leo slaps her and orders her to obey, while the CEO backs Mia and the crowd cheers her on. Laura calls her father, the chairman of Sterling Corp., and asks him to cancel every contract.
Mia mocks the claim, calling Leo "daddy," and Leo threatens to fire Laura unless she submits. When Laura reveals the transfer agreement's reclamation clause, Leo shows a signed copy without it; Mia admits she removed it. Leo's cronies pin Laura down and beat her, demanding she call Mia "Mommy."
Laura's father, Richard Sterling, arrives and vows to press charges against everyone. The room falls silent, but Leo doubts he is really her father, since he has never met him.
