The story
During her freshman year, a penniless orphan is offered a sponsorship by Ian Hendrick, the most powerful man in Gavendal's elite circle. She is about to accept when floating comments appear before her eyes, warning that she is merely a cannon fodder supporting character. Ian only chose her to make his niece, Katie Stafford, jealous, and she will soon be thrown out. But the contract promises 440 grand per year, enough for her dried fish snacks, so she signs anyway, hiding her fluffy cat ears.
Determined to prove her usefulness, she commits many shameless deeds: placing food on Ian's plate, giving him head massages, and boldly taking the passenger seat when Katie refuses it. When Katie throws a fit and declares she will move out, the car falls tense. Yet Ian's gaze softens whenever it lands on Snowy, the injured white cat she rescued and nursed all night.
As the mocking comments grow louder, she clings to one hope: as long as she can eat, stay in school, and get Snowy treated, she will keep playing her part.
