The story
On a rain-soaked night bus, a young woman feels a stranger's hand slide beneath her skirt. Pressed against the glass door, she cannot see his face, and when she pleads with the other passengers for help, they only step back and look away. Before he leaves, he whispers that this is the first step of her addiction.
Hours later, a message request from an unknown account arrives with a photograph taken up her skirt on the bus. The sender knows her number, her address, and the house opposite hers — which was supposed to be empty. When she blocks him, a new account threatens to send the photo to her family unless she rides the same bus at the same time the next night.
Terrified yet strangely drawn to the command, she boards the bus again and waits, unable to tell which of the men around her is the one watching.
Opening
Late at night, on the bus, a hand slowly crept under my skirt as a man's warm breath brushed against my ear.
As I was pressed against the glass door, I couldn't see what the man looked like. That only made my other senses more sensitive. All I could feel was his knee pressing against my thigh.
"This is the first step of your addiction, Miss."
