The story
When she was five months pregnant, a fire broke out and her husband Thomas's first love, Mickey, died in the flames. Thomas told her he didn't blame her, then burned her and their newborn alive on the day she gave birth, accusing her of setting the fire that killed Mickey.
She wakes back at the fire scene. This time she calls 911 instead of Thomas, but when the rescue team arrives, Thomas carries Mickey out first. The crew scorns her, calling her an arsonist and a jealous actress, and leaves her bleeding and burned while all the cooling and first aid equipment is used on Mickey. Thomas slaps her, presses her belly, and walks away, convinced by Mickey that she is faking.
She loses the baby and wakes in a hospital room with a stranger, her downstairs neighbor, beside her. Even a stranger saw she needed help, yet her husband of five years never did.
Opening
I immediately called Thomas for help. In the end, my child was saved, but Mickey died in the fire that day.
Thomas said he didn't blame me and told me to rest easy in the hospital until I gave birth.
But on the day I gave birth to our child, he burned me and the baby alive.
In my final moment, through the raging flames, I saw his vicious, twisted face.
"If you hadn't deliberately set that fire, Mickey would never have died!"
