My Superstar Boyfriend Fled Before the Earthquake, and He Went Crazy After I Died

For years, Zoe Lin stayed invisible beside Finn Foster, the dazzling superstar she served as a secret assistant, following him from obscurity to nationwide fame. Sent ahead to a foreign country to prepare for his global tour, she lands just as news of an earthquake breaks. Fearing she might take the last seat, Finn slips away without a word, stealing the car she reserved and rebooking a flight to save himself, leaving her at the epicenter.

As the quake closes in, Zoe messages him desperately, but her pleas sink like stones. In the chaos, traffickers seize her and stuff her into a dumpster, where she suffocates, her body harvested for its organs. Just before her heart stops, a phone screen lights up with his reply: he is home safe and hopes she is okay.

Now a wandering spirit, Zoe watches Finn write songs at home, indifferent to her absence, while his fans weep and Sophia Baker arrives with porridge. When he says it would be better if she died out there, she can only answer that his wish came true.
