The story
For ten years Nicole Miller played the perfect wife to Ethan Vance, bound by a System that demanded she win his heart. She built his company from the brink of ruin, yet he never truly saw her. When his first love Heather Bennett returns, divorced and in need of a home, Ethan drafts a divorce agreement without hesitation, offering half his shares and a hundred terms all centered on Heather.
Nicole signs, adding one clause of her own: after the divorce, Ethan Vance is forbidden from ever appearing in her world. But as he reclaims the house and rushes to register a new marriage, a long-silent System notification warns her that his affection has dropped to zero and her time in this world is nearly over.
With only days left, Nicole stops being the submissive wife he remembers. When Ethan demands the house for Heather, she refuses to yield, and tells him plainly that she no longer loves him.
Opening
To give her a home again, Ethan decided to divorce me on the spot.
He didn’t hesitate to transfer half of his company's shares to my name.
He was terrified that if he delayed even for a second, I would cling to him.
"We're divorcing by mutual consent. You are not to slander Heather in front of anyone."
