The story
Even after she became pregnant, Chloe's husband Liam insisted they split every expense 50/50 — half the crib, half the ER copay after a late-night bleed. She believed it was trauma from his divorce, since his ex-wife Serena had walked away with a three-million-dollar settlement.
Then, heavily pregnant, Chloe saw Liam buying Serena a $60,000 diamond necklace, telling her not to count pennies with him. Meanwhile he billed Chloe for half a pregnancy pillow and kept a running tab of everything she owed. When she finally asked about Serena, his answer was cold.
Chloe drove herself to the hospital, where a collision brought her face to face with Serena — and with the truth about the "business" that kept Liam away. Caught between a baby she fought hard to keep and a marriage where love is measured in exact halves, she must decide what she can bear.
