The story
A young woman returns home for the holidays, expecting a rest. Her mother shoves a tall, handsome young man into her arms with a wink and a cryptic "You know what to do," then rushes off to her bridge game. Taking the hint, she leads him upstairs, certain he is the blind date her mother has been pushing on her.
Afterward, her mother calls up the stairs asking about Leo, the neighbor kid who came for English tutoring. The man in her bed is Leo, the chubby boy she once taught phonics, now transformed. Her mother, determined to repay a family debt, orders her to tutor him at his house the next day.
Leo, calm and unbothered, refuses to let the afternoon be forgotten.
Opening
She winked and left me with a cryptic, "You know what to do."
I thought I understood the assignment. So, I took him upstairs and... had my way with him.
Afterward, my mom asked, "So, where's Leo? Did you finish his English tutoring session?"
Looking at the exhausted man lying in my bed, I started to sweat.
