Part 1The Mistress Swapped Bodies With Me

One car accident later, I swapped bodies with my husband's mistress.

She ignored my desperate warnings, dusted herself off, and immediately accused me of being the mistress.

She beat me black and blue on a TikTok livestream.

She leaked intimate photos of her and my husband from her phone, forcing my face to the screen so everyone could see.

Looking at me, dying on the ground, she laughed maniacally.

"From now on, your husband, your wealth, and your son are all mine."

What she didn't know was this:

My family is on the verge of bankruptcy.

My son is a violent sociopath.

And my husband has a terminal illness, counting on me for a kidney transplant.

Crash.

The violent impact knocked me out cold.

When I groggily opened my eyes, a crowd had gathered around the car.

I struggled to speak.

"Call 911..."

The voice that came out wasn't mine. It was young, high-pitched, unfamiliar.

I turned my head and saw a woman slumped in the passenger seat.

That woman... was me.

I looked down at myself. I was wearing a pink Chanel-style suit.

It was the outfit Chloe, my intern, wore today.

Before I could process the horror, "Chloe" woke up in the passenger seat.

She realized what happened instantly. Panic flashed in her eyes, then transformed into something sinister.

She scrambled out of the car, falling dramatically onto the pavement.

She smeared blood from her forehead all over her face and wailed:

"This is my husband's mistress! I tried to talk sense into her, but she tried to kill me!"

The crowd gasped. Disgusted whispers filled the air.

Chloe looked at me, a gleam of malicious triumph in her eyes.

I was stunned. I rubbed my dizzy head and looked in the rearview mirror.

It was true. I was now Chloe.

Chloe seemed prepared for this.

She was an intern at my company, ten years younger than me, fresh out of college.

We were returning from a business dinner. I had wine, so I let her drive.

On the way, she kept spouting nonsense.

Asking about my marriage. Showing off a ring her "boyfriend" bought her.

I ignored her.

Then she took a call. "Hey, Hubby," she cooed.

When she put the phone down, I saw her lock screen.

It was a photo of her and my husband, Richard.

Intertwined fingers. Her head on his chest. Half-naked.

My left eye twitched. I spoke directly.

"Don't be fooled by my husband. He's not a good man."

Chloe's hands shook on the steering wheel. She gave a fake smile. "Elena, what are you talking about?"

I tried to warn her. I didn't want to see a young girl ruin her life.

"If you don't want the office and your parents to know you're a homewrecker, break up with him now!"

"Don't throw your future away for a man who doesn't belong to you."

She started crying. "Elena, please! Don't fire me! I just got perm..."

"I made a mistake! I didn't mean to wreck your home! Forgive me!"

Then, horror struck.

She let go of the steering wheel and grabbed my arm, begging.

Bang!

The car slammed into the guardrail, teetering over the river.
