The Striker's Forbidden Love

She's fighting for the one shot she's always been told she doesn't deserve. He's the one rule he can't afford to break.

Mia Torres clawed her way from a walk-on tryout to the best striker on her team. No academy, no scout, no shortcut just two years of proving, one match at a time, that she belongs. This season is everything: a national call-up is finally within reach, if she can hold her spot and keep her head down.

Then Ironbridge FC hires Daniel Reyes. A former pro with a reputation for never once bending a rule, and the very first thing he does as head coach is bench her in her own season opener.

What starts as a collision turns into something far more dangerous than either of them wants. Respect, forged in brutal training sessions and long nights breaking down game film. Then something underneath it neither of them can name out loud, because naming it means admitting the risk: coaches don't fall for players. Not if he wants to keep his career. Not if she wants to keep hers.

But proximity has a way of wearing down every line they've drawn. And somewhere on the other side of a locked phone screen, somebody is already watching, waiting for the moment they slip.
