The Ungrateful Son: I Choose Myself

After a divorce, Mark Miller raised his son Kevin alone, working tirelessly so the boy could graduate college and land a six-figure job at a top tech company. But Kevin's first-year bonus goes to a lavish, all-inclusive retirement for Mark's own brother, David Stone, the man Kevin credits for his childhood. When Mark asks about catching up on his missing social security payments, Kevin calls the idea pathetic and tells him to focus on his career instead.

Mark finally tells Kevin to separate his residency from the house. Kevin erupts, David hovers with apologies, and Mark orders them both out. His ex-wife Sarah Johnson then calls to demand he apologize to their son, and David's messages insist Kevin is only repaying kindness. Betrayed by his wife, his brother and now his only son, Mark decides every penny he earns will be for himself alone.

He takes a live-in house manager position and packs Kevin's things. When Kevin storms in, furious that his father would take such a humiliating job, Mark tells him to take his belongings and go.
