The story
Married to Liam for three years, a wife lives under the same roof as a husband who barely speaks to her. Their union was never about love: when her father's debts threatened the family with ruin, Liam appeared with a lifeline and three conditions, the last of which was a three-year marriage contract. He needed a wife to claim a larger share of his father Harold Reed's estate, and she agreed without reading the fine print.
Now the contract has quietly expired, yet Liam has said nothing about dissolving it. Nursing a grudge and a secret hope, she sends him a suggestive photo from a throwaway account, posing as a stranger. His reply comes fast, sharp and possessive, followed by a same-day return flight. Panicked, she wonders whether he is rushing home to confront her or to end the marriage for good.
When Liam walks through the door, tired but bright-eyed, he asks only about the company and the two coffee cups left on the table.

Three years married, yet my husband and I had never once held hands.
With a grudge I'd been quietly nursing, I took a photo of myself in sexy lingerie with my back to the camera and sent it to him from a throwaway account.
I expected it to go nowhere. Two minutes later, my phone buzzed.
