The story
Whitney has been given a second chance. In her first life, her husband Luke conspired with a shady clinic to cut her premature baby from her womb, draining the infant's blood to cure her sister Yvonne. Her family let her bleed to death, then celebrated Yvonne's recovery. Now Whitney wakes three months earlier, on the day her parents and Luke demand she sign divorce papers so he can marry Yvonne and grant her dying wish.
This time Whitney signs without a fight, knowing what their love truly costs. But when Luke tracks her to a suburban hiding place, he reveals the same plan: Yvonne has found a remedy that needs a premature baby's blood. Whitney must protect the child she carries from the family that already sacrificed it once.
A story of betrayal, rebirth, and a mother's fierce will to survive.
Opening
Hearing that a premature baby's blood can save my sister, he conspires with a shady clinic to take the baby out through surgery. After draining the baby's blood, he walks away—leaving my fragile preemie to die.
