The story
In Thornpack, Olivia trusted her mate Liam, a respected healer, until the night he drugged her tea. The morphing inhibitor she had saved for years to import for their daughter Isla was gone—given instead to Anna, the daughter of Liam's first love, Natalie. Without it, Isla's early transformation tore through her small body, and she died in Olivia's arms, asking why Papa never came.
Now Olivia sits in the dark with Isla's white porcelain urn, while Liam returns late, his uniform reeking of another she-wolf, and mocks her grief. When he reaches for the urn, she tells him she will dissolve their mate bond. Liam refuses, threatening to claim Isla's guardianship in the Pack Court, and storms out without ever asking how his daughter is.
Olivia is left alone with her wolf Bella, her tumor, and a severance statement—resolved to break the bond completely.
