The story
Alana has spent seven years loving Elias Thorne, and when she finally marries him, she vows to be the perfect wife. But Elias cheats, and when she confronts him, he coldly tells her to stop suffocating him and go find other men to occupy her time. Obedient as ever, she reaches out to his best friend, Bennett St. James, the feared and detached man of the elite business circle. He agrees to meet her at a secluded tea house, and what begins there pulls her far beyond anything she expected.
Bennett's private intensity leaves Alana exhausted, and a doctor's warning about her health sends her hiding from him. But Bennett comes looking for her at the home she shares with Elias, and Elias himself walks in on them. Soon she is seated at dinner with Elias, Bennett, his brother Liam Thorne, and the playboy Ryder Croft, feeling watched from every direction. When she thanks Elias with a soft "honey," all three other men stop and stare at her like wolves eyeing prey.
Opening
My husband told me to stop suffocating him. He said I should go find other men to occupy my time.
Being the obedient wife I am, I went out and found three.
Later, those three men demanded I make a choice and commit to them.
So, being obedient once again, I asked my husband, Elias, for a divorce.
But suddenly, Elias claimed he was madly in love with me. He fought the divorce tooth and nail.
He actually cried while washing my underwear, pleading with me.
