The story
On his eighteenth birthday, Leo confessed his love to Eleanor, his aunt by title but not by blood. She answered by sending him to a university abroad. Years later, brain cancer left him in unbearable pain, and he called her for help. But her beloved Julian claimed Leo had fallen into hard drugs overseas, that his agony was only withdrawal. Eleanor had him locked in the family's desolate cliffside estate to detox, with guards watching his every move.
Denied treatment, Leo's pain grew beyond endurance. One night he slipped out of a window and threw himself from the cliff's edge. A year after his death, Eleanor Brown finally came to the estate to bring him home, only to find the villa empty. Dried blood stained the walls and the locked room where he had been confined.
Eleanor refuses to believe he is gone, dismissing it as another stunt for her attention. Yet she needs Leo, whose rare blood type matches Julian's, and orders a search for him.
