The story
Sepharine spent three years caring for Draven, the crippled son of an Alpha, until he regained his strength and scorned her as a lowly maid unworthy of an Alpha's heir. Heartbroken, she left the pack—and only then did Draven realise how deeply he loved her.
Now bound to him as his wife, Sepharine endures a cold marriage in the Walfson manor. Draven, seated in a wheelchair, greets her kindness with fury, while Lady Walfson demands duty and the servants whisper that she is mad for staying. Yet Sepharine keeps tending his legs, reading his favourite novel aloud, and refusing to abandon the man she chose.
As winter seals the manor and the council eyes his cousin Roran as acting Alpha, Draven must decide whether the woman he spurned is his cage or his only hope.

“Smile, Sepharine. Everyone’s watching.”
Lady Walfson’s whisper cut like the frost threading through the manor’s stained-glass windows. Sepharine obeyed, tilting her lips into something soft—pliable.
“I’m trying,” she murmured, fingers trembling around the tea tray.
“Try harder. You’re his wife now. Or have you already forgotten?”
