Cast Aside on Our Wedding Night, I Left the CEO to Rot

On their wedding night, Evelyn Carter brings her male secretary, Julian Hayes, into the penthouse she shares with her new husband, Logan. Julian resembles her deceased first love, and when Logan objects, Evelyn scalds his hand and tells him he only married her because his dying mother guilt-tripped her. She reminds him that he eats her food and spends her money, and that she paid for the home.

Logan sets his wedding band on the coffee table and walks out, leaving his keys behind. He returns to the old house his mother left him, the marital home Evelyn always despised, unaware that the district has just been approved for redevelopment and the property's buyout is worth millions.

The next morning, Clara, the girl who once lived next door, knocks at his door, and the two climb a mountain to watch a meteor shower. As Clara describes the debts and violence she has survived, Logan begins to see how much of himself he surrendered for Evelyn.
