The story
Sean Cole has spent five years as an engineer at Avante Technology, producing patents that bring the company substantial profits. When he is finally summoned to meet CEO Warren Parker, he finds a refined, friendly gentleman who asks about his family. Two months later, Sean's world collapses: his mother is committed to a psychiatric hospital, his twin siblings Seth and Sadie are expelled from school, and the family home is seized for auction. Every police report he files goes nowhere.
Warren's help comes at a price. His bodyguard Nelson Lane beats Sean bloody in Warren's office, and the truth emerges: Warren's sister Catherine confessed her feelings to Sean, and he turned her down. Everything that has happened to his family is Warren's revenge. Security footage vanishes, the media brands Sean a gambling addict who leaked patents, and his bank accounts are frozen.
Begging for his family's safety, Sean is brought to his knees before Warren, who now has a new demand in mind.
Opening
Crossing paths with Warren Parker is the biggest nightmare of my life.
