The story
Twenty years ago, Jemma Johnston's husband Garrett Kachmar vanished overseas with his ex, Linda Sharpe, leaving her with a screaming baby boy. She raised the child, Willie, as her own. When she posts that Willie has passed his exams and joined the police force, Garrett and Linda return, demanding their biological son back and suing for custody.
In a livestreamed trial, Linda produces a birth certificate, a baby photo and a witness named Penelope, while Garrett submits Jemma's medical record showing she is infertile. The online audience turns on Jemma, convinced she stole a child. Jemma insists Willie cannot be their son, and when Linda presents a signed change-of-custody agreement, Jemma declares it impossible.
As the courtroom and the livestream demand a verdict, Jemma stands firm, certain that the truth she holds will overturn everything.
