Dead: Now I’m Their Beloved

Aria is a transmigrator whose mission was to save four villains from darkness, Danny Vance among them. When Danny, her ex-fiancé and a newly crowned movie star, announces his relationship with Zoey Bell, the Sterling family's long-lost heiress, and tells Aria he is to become a father by another woman, her final mission fails. That failure frees her: the System promised that once every mission failed, she could return home through death.

On a bridge, Aria prepares to embrace that escape, but Kian Archer, the tech prodigy who once loved her, drags her back, his old tracker on her phone having become her first shackle. She wakes in a hospital room he has turned into a cage, where he accuses her of performing for sympathy and warns her not to spoil Zoey's big day.

Then her adoptive brother Ethan Sterling arrives with Zoey's soup and her old wounds. Aria shatters the bowl, cuts her wrist with a shard, and tells him the Sterling charity cannot be accepted by the thief who stole someone's life for twenty years.
