The story
At a company team-building event in the Huka Islands, Natalia is checking into her hotel when her colleague Yvonne Caruso snatches her ID and orders her to find another hotel. When Natalia insists on a room, Yvonne shoves her into the front desk and boasts that her father, Ian Caruso, is the real power behind the company. Natalia laughs: Ian Caruso is her own father, and she knows of no other daughter.
Yvonne's cruelty is no secret. She swapped a pregnant colleague's supplements for abortion drugs, replaced another woman's perfume with disinfectant, and splashed coffee on Leon Moretti, short-circuiting his computer. Colleagues urge Natalia to submit, and a photo on Yvonne's social media shows her beside Natalia's smiling father.
When Natalia demands a presidential suite, the boss Morty Livingston orders her to kneel, apologize, and surrender her 100,000 bonus and commissions. That night she is fired, her documents vanish, and Yvonne claims her position and bonus. Natalia questions the executives who owe her the company's survival, but they only lower their heads.
Opening

As I prepared to check in, my colleague from the same department, Yvonne Caruso, suddenly snatched my ID from my hand. "The rooms are full. The rest of you should find another hotel."
