Opening

To save me, my twenty-five-year-old boyfriend was thrown from a skyscraper by his captors.

When he opened his eyes again, he was a stranger, cold and distant.

He claimed he was from ten years in the future, sent back to fix everything.

He said that the thirty-five-year-old version of himself, Liam, would cheat on me with his childhood friend in the third year of our marriage.

He said that they had grown to despise each other, bound together for a decade only because of their child.
