Love Scam: The "Crippled" Boyfriend's Two-Year Plan

When her boyfriend Mark Jamison is left paralyzed by a car accident, a young woman pawns the ring her late mother left her and takes up delivery work to pay for his care. Then, on a stormy night, she arrives at a villa with an expensive food order and overhears laughter inside. Mark is no invalid at all: he is a wealthy heir who has spent two years faking his condition, scheming with his childhood sweetheart Rosie Shaw to punish her for once outshining Rosie at school.

Rosie wears her mother's ring, mocks her soaked uniform and demands five hundred thousand dollars for it, then hurls the ring into the river below. Mark springs from his wheelchair to stop her from diving in after it, and calls it a stupid ring. Something in her goes cold. She ends things with him on the spot, then calls the father she has not spoken to in years, the richest man in town, and agrees to the marriage alliance he once proposed.

What began as a cruel two-year deception now leaves her walking away from the man who staged it, toward a match she once refused.
