Opening

But who would have thought my best friend wouldn’t thank me? Instead, she cried to the crowd, accusing me:

"This wasn't an accident, she pushed me!"

"Before you all arrived, she kept kicking me further into the water!"

"She clearly wanted to kill me!"

I was about to explain when my husband rushed over, pointed at me, and started yelling.

"Riley, I never knew you could be so wicked!"

"Even if I'm your husband, I can't help you cover up attempted murder!"

Ultimately, I was sentenced to five years in prison for attempted murder.
