The story
Ryder Blake is the wild second son of the Blake family, notorious for fast cars and death-defying stunts—until he meets Iris. For five years she stays by his side, and everyone believes he is madly in love with her. Yet he never offers her a real commitment.
Then a call sends Iris to the racetrack, where Ryder is about to run the death-defying track for Daisy, a girl in a white dress. He crashes at the finish line, and when the hospital needs Rh-negative blood, Iris gives her own until she faints. Waking, she overhears Ryder tell his friends he is done with her—Daisy is the one he truly loves.
Iris does not cry. She calls Julian, Ryder's older brother, and asks to be released from her obligations. Five years earlier, Julian had paid her ten million to make Ryder fall in love with her and keep him from dangerous sports. Now the arrangement is over.

That was until he met Iris. It was like a wild mustang suddenly reined in.
