The story
When the Great Freeze descends, a young man draws three passes to a secure bunker and gives them to his girlfriend Ronnie and his best friend Liam. In his past life, Ronnie stole the passes, sold them to a rich man named Sterling, and left him tied up to freeze to death while she and Liam grew rich and powerful in the new world.
Reborn on the day he drew the passes, he tells Ronnie and Liam he only drew one. Their eager faces turn pale, and Liam openly clings to Ronnie, who begs to hold the pass for safekeeping. The young man refuses, teasing them with talk of dying together and watching their panic grow as the bunker's closing draws near. He secretly contacts Sterling, remembering how Ronnie once flaunted the rich man's favor.
With only one pass between them, Ronnie and Liam's alliance begins to crack, and he waits for them to turn on each other.
