The story
For four years, Olivia has watched her husband Ezra vanish for three days each year, moving a large sum of money out of his account with no explanation. Every investigation led nowhere, and even her own mother dismissed her suspicions as delusion. Then, delivering a birthday present to Nina, a young woman she has supported for eight years, Olivia hears Ezra's voice inside the apartment and learns the truth: the affair has been hiding in plain sight all along.
While Ezra and Nina plan a three-day trip to Asper under the cover of a business trip, Olivia quietly begins to dismantle her marriage. She contacts her attorney, Frank Jenkins, gathers the records she has collected over the years, and prepares to claim what is hers. But her lawyer warns that suspicion is not proof, and her mother threatens to disown her for walking away.
With the divorce papers waiting on Ezra's desk, Olivia must decide how much she is willing to prove and how much she is willing to leave behind.

I suspected he was doing it for an unforgettable ex. Yet, no matter how hard I investigated, I couldn’t find a single clue.
“I don’t have any exes worth hiding from you," Ezra once told me.
