The story
Elena Rossi's world shatters when her five-year-old son, Niccolo Rossi, is killed in a shootout during an underground firearms deal between mafia forces. As she lies in her hospital bed, she overhears her husband, Luca Rossi, confess to his assistant, Marco Giordano, that Niccolo was still alive when he ordered the medics to stop treatment. Luca admits he let their son die so that his illegitimate child with his first love, Gina Romano, could become the Rossi heir.
When Luca brings the boy, Lorenzo, home and passes him off as an orphan, Elena understands her marriage was a lie from the start. Then Gina sends her a video of Niccolo's final moments and boasts that she lured him to his death. Armed with her late father's high-explosive ammunition core data, Elena calls the Gambino family, the most powerful mafia family in Novaro, and offers a deal: the data in exchange for wiping out the Rossi family within three days.
Opening
Niccolo Rossi, my five-year-old son, accidentally wanders into the location where an underground firearms transaction between mafia forces is being conducted. He ends up dying from the gunfire there.
Upon receiving the bad news, I collapse immediately.
When I wake up, my husband, Luca Rossi, wears a guilty look. He takes my hand and comforts me, "Elena, Niccolo's death is a misunderstanding. Everyone thought he was a spy belonging to the enemy forces, so they started a crossfire with each other."
