His footsteps halted abruptly, his voice dripping with theatrical annoyance.
“How should I put this? In the flight attendant profession, a cute smile isn’t enough. You need to have some situational awareness!”
He pointed to his outfit. “Look at me. From my hair to my heels, what part of me looks like a ‘sir’? Call. Me. Ms. Kai!”
Sarah, the senior attendant greeting passengers with me, looked horrified. She quickly snatched my arm, shoved herself forward, and dipped into a rigid, ninety-degree bow. “Our deepest apologies! Ms. Kai, good morning! She’s a new hire and hasn’t been properly trained, please forgive the oversight!”
The man snorted dismissively through his nose, rolled his eyes at us, and strutted into the First Class cabin.
Sarah immediately whispered to me, “That’s Kai Foster. A Platinum Card member. Serve him perfectly, or one complaint will ruin our entire crew’s career and bonus pool.”
