Roommate Stole My Card for Group Gifts; Froze It, She Cried is a billionaire serial in English. Parts 1–3 are printed here in full; the story continues from Part 4 in the official app.

From Part 4 the story is in the official app — the code is in the bar at the bottom of the page.

The story

A college student discovers that her roommate, Hester Pruitt, has been funding lavish cash gifts and a thousand cups of bubble tea for the freshman class using money deducted from her own supplementary card. When the sponsored student Zoe White asks for three thousand, the amounts match Hester's giveaways exactly, and Hester's claim to be from Larkvale, the same village as Zoe, raises a chilling possibility: either one girl is playing two roles, or the sponsorship was quietly rerouted.

Rather than confront her, the student freezes the card and waits. At the bubble tea shop, Hester's card is declined again and again, the clerk refuses to release the drinks, and the owner pulls the shutter down, trapping Hester and the classmates who came to help. As the freshman chat fills with questions, Hester frantically begs Pat to send money, unaware that her cover has already slipped.

With the bill unpaid and the crowd held inside, the student watches to see how far Hester's story will stretch before it breaks.

Opening

The roommate who used to argue over a single cent when we split a group dinner was suddenly blasting huge cash gifts into the freshman chat.

Before I could even process it, Hester Pruitt posted another announcement in the group:

"Tomorrow night I'm dropping ten cash gifts of three hundred each. Get ready, everyone!"

Right then, the student I sponsored messaged me:

"Sis, could you transfer three thousand to the card? I want to buy a laptop tomorrow."

I stared at that message, and the longer I looked, the more wrong it felt.
