The story
Seven years ago, at his own wedding, Martin was slapped by his bride during the ring exchange. She called their marriage a game, and a wealthy young heir, Edward Wilson, took the stage, embracing her and ordering Martin to crawl through his legs and bark. Humiliated, Martin was kicked off the stage and told he was not even worthy of being a dog.
Now a renowned tech tycoon, Martin returns to Bumville and hosts a dinner for a business partner at the golf course he owns. When a young man insists on meeting him, Martin finds Edward Wilson and his former bride, Georgia Marvis, waiting inside. Edward mistakes Martin for a waiter and mocks him, while Georgia, pregnant, looks on in shock.
As Edward's friends laugh and demand he kneel and beg, Martin must decide how to handle the people who once destroyed him.
Opening
At the wedding seven years ago, during the ring exchange, my bride slapped me in front of everyone.
"Marriage? It's just a game. You don't actually think I'm serious, do you?"
The next moment, a wealthy young man took the stage, wrapping his arms around her and looking at me with disdain.
