She Forgot That I Own the House

After buying a house with his father's inheritance, Andrew Scott lets his girlfriend Claire Dickson, an interior designer, handle the renovation. Once he moves in, he discovers she has given permanent fingerprint access to her three childhood friends, Terry Boyle, Mark Sullivan and Wayne Tucker, while he receives only a temporary passcode. His study becomes a livestreaming room, the patio fills with their things, and the entryway holds four pairs of matching slippers.

On his thirtieth birthday he works late and finds his passcode expired. Through the window he watches them celebrate Terry's birthday in his home, and Claire tells him to stay at a hotel so he won't ruin the mood. The next day he deletes their access and puts the house on the market.

Claire insists she spent a year renovating it, and the realtor Eric Wood finds a business registered at the address and a competition portfolio that names the four friends as the owners.
