Splitting the Billionaire's Bill

For Josie, her eighteenth birthday is a repeat of a life already lived. In her last life, her roommate Veronica Thorne gifted her a counterfeit designer bag, binding her to a Spending-Split System: every dollar Veronica spent was split between them, draining Josie's savings until loan sharks dragged her under. This time, Josie knows the game.

When Veronica and her friend Ashley present the same fake bag, Josie accepts it with a flat thanks, hiding her true intent. A news alert reveals that heiress Seraphina Monroe will attend Northwood University's Charity Art Gala wearing the real, limited-edition bag. Josie signs up as a volunteer, and Veronica, believing she is tightening the trap, arranges for her to work the VIP lounge.

Josie plans to swap the counterfeit for Seraphina's genuine bag, turning Veronica's curse against a true billionaire. As she vows not to break this time, the question is whether her audacious gamble will finally make Veronica split the bill with someone far beyond her reach.
