The story
A judge orders Gemma to post a public apology video for ten straight days to her husband, Toby Crawford, after she exposed his affair online and he sued her for defamation. Toby, a managing director in Chicago, won the case with an expensive legal team while Gemma walked into a free legal aid clinic. Outside the courthouse, Toby and his mistress, Madison, taunt her, but Gemma calmly reminds Madison that every dollar Toby spent on her is joint marital property she can reclaim.
Gemma begins the apologies, naming Toby's company and Madison as his married subordinate. The videos go viral, and Toby calls in a panic, raging that she will destroy his reputation and career. Then his tone softens into a mournful plea, reminding her they were college sweethearts.
With eight days of apologies still ahead, Gemma holds her ground, determined to speak the truths she has long kept silent.
Opening
The judge ordered me to record and post a public apology video for ten consecutive days. The recipient of this apology was the man currently glowing with arrogant victory at the plaintiff's table—my husband, Toby Crawford.
