The story
On Havenport, an isolated island plagued by raiders, a woman named Olivia is reborn at the moment of a raid. In her past life, her husband Miles, the Island Guard Captain, took every man and weapon to celebrate Sienna's birthday, leaving the women and children defenceless. Now the same raid begins again, and Olivia sounds the alarm, but the island's only transport vessel is gone.
As marauders close in, Olivia leads the women and children into the shelter tunnels. Her sister-in-law Lily crawls through the storm drains to fetch the men, but Miles refuses to believe the attack is real, slaps her, and accuses Olivia of scheming. With the iron door about to give way, Olivia rides a jet ski to Stonewater Isle for reinforcements, only to find Deputy Commander Ethan Reed waiting under Miles's orders to stop her.
Bound and disbelieved, Olivia must find a way to save everyone before the raiders break through.
Opening
"Captain!" one shouted hoarsely. "You said Olivia was lying—that we should guard you and Sienna for her birthday! Now my son is dead! Where’s my wife?!"
Miles turned deathly pale.
I watched the bloodshed, tears falling.
In my past life, when raiders attacked, my husband—the Island Guard Captain—took all the men to celebrate Sienna’s birthday. Pregnant, I crawled through storm drains to bring them back.
