The story
A delivery driver sells his girlfriend's DSLR camera on a secondhand marketplace, only to be flooded with messages from the buyer asking for revealing photos and naming a price. The camera's memory card was never wiped, and the buyer's replies suggest this is not the first time he has bought from her. The face and name in the photos belong to the woman he lives with.
He decides to play along and lure the buyer out, arranging to meet at the Triumph Hotel. When he confronts his girlfriend, she denies everything, and the messages vanish from the account. The buyer's profile is deleted. He stakes out the hotel room all night, but no one comes. The next morning she greets him with soup and a smile, and he sinks further into debt to keep up the lie.
Nothing is proven, nothing is recovered, and the truth stays just out of reach.
Opening
"Great shots this time. What's the rate for the outfit in the middle?"
That’s when it hit me–the camera's memory card had not been wiped.
However, the photos inside… were nothing I had ever seen before.
Revealing shots. Intimate poses.
Not meant for me.
I forced myself to stay calm and tried to explain the situation to the buyer.
His reply stopped me cold.
