The story
A real estate agent shows a young woman a house she has already viewed five times, and just as she hesitates over the down payment, lines of text float before her eyes. The comments reveal that the seller, Claire Sterling, once shared this house with Landon King, and that Landon will one day buy it back for ten times the price. Convinced, she signs the contract and drains her savings.
That night, the feed keeps narrating the couple's breakup, and she learns Claire is throwing out every gift Landon ever gave her. She hops on her crepe trike and races to The Grandview Estates, where she stuffs the discarded luxury goods into a sack until it tears open in front of Claire herself.
Claire does not take the treasures back; she hands over three designer totes and helps load them onto the trike. Yet the buyer is left wondering whether the promised fortune will truly arrive.

I stared blankly for three seconds, then decisively signed the contract.
