The story
They called her the Crimson River Killer. Victoria Livingston was arrested on her wedding day by her own husband, Police Chief Marcus Thorne, after a video showed her committing murder. Convicted and executed by lethal injection, she left behind a city certain of her guilt.
Three years later, the killings begin again, identical in method and cruelty. Marcus's new wife, Valerie, Victoria's half-sister, is haunted by whispers and phantom touches, and suffers a miscarriage. The city demands Victoria's restless spirit be bound, so Marcus brings Master Wu of the Azure Cloud Temple to her grave. The priest reads memories from her bones and warns that her death was not so simple, and that another victim will fall today.
As her memories surface, Valerie's panic grows, and the truth of how Victoria truly died waits beneath the earth.
