The story
Mel Grant dies, and in her final moment she wishes only that her brother Adrian find the person he loves and live happily. She wakes inside her own coffin, dressed for a wedding, as Adrian slides a ring onto her finger. A voice in her mind explains: the Wish System grants the last wishes of the dying, and the person Adrian loves most is her, so she must fulfill the wish herself.
Her grandfather has forced Adrian into a posthumous marriage with her, though Adrian was meant to marry Zoe. Whispers call him an adopted son, kept and discarded at will. When Mel sits up alive, her parents pull her free, but Adrian only wraps his bleeding hand and turns to leave. She calls him back, and the system's progress creeps upward.
Adrian does not believe her. He accuses her of faking her death and toying with him, of calling off their engagement when bored. Yet he agrees to tell the family they will marry, and the household insists he has lost his mind, warning that Mel's life with him will be hell.
Opening
My brother hated me for years.
In the final moment before I died, I made a wish: that he could find the person he loves and live happily ever after.
The next second, I was in a wedding dress, shooting bolt upright in my coffin.
My brother, Adrian, was placing a ring on my finger.
A notification chimed in my mind:
「Wish System activated. Target is currently with his most beloved person. Mission progress: 10%.」
