The story
Anya is released from prison after three years, sentenced for stealing a pearl necklace that her foster sister Anna framed her for. Her brother Liam, who once raised her alone after their father was killed in action and their mother left, is waiting outside. He never believed Anya's innocence, and even testified against her in court.
At home, Anna throws a welcome party and offers Anya the very necklace that sent her to prison. Liam demands Anya apologize for overturning the gift. Anya, who met a falsely accused man named Julian inside and made a pact to start a new life with him, refuses and runs out into the cold.
She only returned for her father's belongings. Liam's love now belongs to Anna, and Anya must decide whether to keep fighting for a family that abandoned her.
