The story
Ana Newton has been married to Evan Buck for ten years when she learns she is dying. On that same day, Evan brings home a dating contract he has signed with his assistant, Cherry Mello, who threatened to kill herself unless he dated her for three months. He insists it is only indulging a young girl's wish and that Ana is the one he loves, then asks Ana to sign the contract too, since Cherry refuses to be a mistress. Ana signs without protest and hides her terminal diagnosis, knowing the three months match the time she has left.
On the first official day of the arrangement, Cherry demands Ana sit in the back of the car, feeds Evan chips, and calls him baby. At the amusement park, Cherry drops her sweet act in the restroom, mocks Ana as an old lady, and makes her kneel and beg. Ana secretly records the exchange, planning to show Evan Cherry's true colors.
Ana's body weakens as Cherry clings to Evan in the haunted house, and she wonders what face Evan will make when he learns the truth.
Opening
On the day I found out I was dying, Evan Buck, my husband, came home with a “dating contract” he had signed with his assistant, Cherry Mello.
“She threatened to kill herself if I didn’t agree to date her for three months.” He continued with a sincere gaze. “But don’t worry. It’s just indulging a young girl’s wish. You’re the one I love. I promise you, after three months, she’ll resign, and we’ll never hear from her again.”
