The story

Shaun Zimmer has spent years trying to be the perfect husband to Winona Winter, following the Winter family’s rulebook to the letter. He stays calm, never complains, and quietly endures her pregnancy with another man’s child, earning a reputation as a magnanimous husband in upper-class society.

But when Winona discovers he has copied the family rules instead of fighting for her, she grows furious, demanding back the jealous husband she once knew. Shaun, meanwhile, has found the medicine hidden in their bedside drawer and learned the truth about their childless marriage. When Winona drags him to a tattoo parlor and leaves him marked with a humiliating phrase, he must decide how much more of this marriage he can bear.

A story of a man who gave everything and received nothing in return.

Opening

I never threw any tantrums and was content with being the man supporting Winona Winter, my wife.

Within the upper-class society, I became well-known as a magnanimous husband.

However, when Winona became pregnant with another man’s baby again, everyone thought that I would fight against that man, but I only brought her back calmly and took care of her.

Yet Winona lost her composure and grabbed my collar. “Shaun, why aren’t you arguing with me?”

I only smiled and calmly took out a copy of the family rules.
