The story
Liam lost his voice saving Chloe, his childhood sweetheart, and spent eight years mute at her side. When his speech finally returns, he keeps it secret, planning to surprise her with his wedding vows. But on the eve of their wedding, he finds Chloe with a college intern in their marital home, mocking him as a mute she is only marrying to keep up appearances.
Chloe never learned even the simplest sign language, and she has long used Liam's devotion while giving her affection to another man. Now Liam smashes the wedding he built for her, refuses to cook for her, and returns to his parents, who welcome his recovered voice and arrange treatment abroad.
As Chloe keeps calling and demanding he marry her, Liam quietly signs away his shares in the company they built with his friend Dylan, choosing to leave her behind for good.
