You Want My Money Even Though We’re Divorced?

Three days after their divorce is finalized, Nathan's ex-wife Georgie Anderson demands that he keep sending her nineteen thousand dollars of his twenty-thousand-dollar monthly salary, just as he did throughout their three-year marriage. When he refuses and blocks her number, she tracks him down at a mall, where he is buying a gaming computer, and insists he cancel the purchase so the money can pay exam fees for Fred Smith, her study partner whom Nathan has never met.

Nathan pays for the computer anyway and removes Georgie's sub-card from his banking app. At home, he reviews three years of expenses and finds luxury meals, a pricey study room and custom-made clothes for Fred, while he once had to beg to replace worn-out shoes. Georgia and Fred keep pressuring him for money.

Nathan sends the receipts to Dave Reid, a lawyer and university friend, and asks how much he can recover from marital assets transferred to a third party.
