Be my love forever

"Are you not wondering why there are no taxis stopping here? That they are just passing by?" the young man asked, surprising Trixie with his sudden remark.

His voice is deep and sexy, and turns out he's an English speaker. Impressive.

"Because we are already wet from the rain, and they don't want their taxi seats to get dirty?!" she exclaimed hysterically.

"No. Do you think they will reject you? In this case, they need more passengers because if they don't drive, they won't have anything to eat," he replied seriously.

"Ah, but there are a lot of taxis passing by, but no one really stops!" she retorted, frustrated with the taxi drivers for not stopping.

The night is cold, coupled with heavy rain and thunder. Who wouldn't be irritated in such a situation?

"Because they do have passengers," Trixie said, biting her lip in response.

After a while, she burst out laughing, realizing that her constant complaint about not getting a taxi was because she thought the drivers were avoiding her, not realizing they had passengers.

"You're right. I didn't think of that," she admitted, holding her stomach from laughter.

"There is also a saying that if you have the patience to wait, you will not be disappointed. Because your waiting is worth it since what you want will still come true," the young man said. Trixie nodded in agreement.

"Can I ask you something?" she inquired after a few seconds of silence. She thought he might not answer, but he turned to her.

"Miss, you're already asking," he philosophically replied, biting his lower lip.

"Are you leaving your home? Why do you have a suitcase in the middle of the night and in the rain?" she asked rapidly.

"I just want to go to a place where I'll be comfortable," he answered.

The young man is easy to talk to, and there's no sense of danger. If she were another woman, she might be scared, considering he has a suitcase and they are the only two in the waiting area trying to hail a taxi.

"Why now, in the rain?" she asked, puzzled.

"Because I didn't know it was going to rain. Miss?"

"What?" she asked, still a bit grumpy.

"I'm Wade Hansley Esquivias, 30 years old." Trixie's heart quickened as he introduced himself with his full name and age.

30 years old? Not bad for her 27 years of existence. She sighed at the end, thinking about the age gap.

'Wade Hansley Esquivias, handsome owner with a handsome name. What more could you ask for?'

"I'm Trixie Vargas Garcia, 27 years old," she replied with her name.

"Sorry if we met in this situation. I just found your gesture earlier amusing. You were really angry."

"I just want to go home," she said.

"I see, aren't you afraid of me? Because you're talking to a stranger like me? Is the line 'I don't talk to strangers' not in your vocabulary?" he asked.

"Because that depends on how I feel the presence of a person. From what I see of you, you seem heartbroken. Your eyes are sad," she commented.

"You're observant then," he said, and a taxi pulled up in front of them. It opened, and she thought she would be left there as he had found a ride. "Get in," he said in a gentle voice.

Her heartbeat raced, and butterflies fluttered in her stomach. Is she feeling giddy because she met the gentleman Wade Hansley Esquivias?
